What a great place, tucked away in the basement of wonderful Coventry Cathedral, discovered by accident as I wiled away some time while waiting for my daughter who was having an interview for the University across the road.
Attracted by the noisy buzz of people obviously having a good time I walked into a lively welcoming space – full tables, interesting décor, homely and welcoming. I had not realised that I was hungry but the appetising sight and smells of the food on offer reminded me that I had not eaten since an early breakfast. I had a tasty, reasonably priced vegan meal that filled me up for the rest of the day. By the time I left the tables were being quickly filled by people coming in to enjoy fantastic looking afternoon tea served on lovely traditional bone china crockery.
This is certainly a ‘go to’ place that I would highly recommend, made all the more attractive when I realised that all the profits go to a homeless charity.
