Reasons for trip

What a great day out!! I have visited twice (with a different family member)and each time have taken advantage of the 2 for 1 offer as we travelled by train. You can use the forms included in leaflets from a mainline train station or download forms from the Great days out 2 for 1 website. It is very close to Piccadilly underground station so very convenient if visiting central London .

On this occasion we took our 10 year old grandson and he loved it – especially the more bizarre exhibits!!He wasn't that keen on the section that showed different forms of torture etc which also included a very noisy mock up of an Electric chair death penalty. There are displays that would appeal to all ages – things like the world's tallest man that you can stand next to,unbelievable traditions from all over the world and human oddities eg a man who was born with double pupils and really amazing artefacts! There are plenty of interactive exhibits eg there is a gate that you have to try and open(none of us to work out how to do it until another visitor showed us -he had obviously remembered from his last visit ),video footage to watch on small screens on each floor & things to read, touch & feel!

There is so much to see – I still found it interesting the second time around…and there were also a few new exhibits. You need to allow a few hours if you want to see everything at a leisurely pace . We all loved the Mirror Maze and I was quite disappointed that our grandson guided us out so quickly!! Don't miss out having a laugh at the "tongue twisting" section !!

As in theme parks photos are taken at various places which you can purchase at the exit. There is also a large gift shop which had a wide range of items connected to the "museum".There is a small snack bar on the middle floor. There was also a "laser " interactive game on the lower floor but we didn't bother when we saw the queue(it was school hols)

I have only posted a few pics as don’t want to spoil it for everyone.
