We are members of the Royal Horticultural Society and visit their gardens at Harlow Carr, which is on the outskirts of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, several times a year. Our visit this time was one of the best ever. The gardens are absolutely outstanding at this time of the year, with the most colourful displays we have seen there including the herbaceous borders, the perennials, and the wildflower meadow. The stream-side walk is delightful and there are plenty of things for children to do including treasure hunts and a huge tree house. Plenty of space for picnics or a visit to the famous "Betty's" tea shop. A highly recommended day out.
