I visited Harlow Carr Gardens with the family and have written a general review “here.”:http://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/attraction/204553-review-rhs-garden-harlow-carr
I came back with loads of pictures – too many to include in one review, so have decided to write more detailed reviews of the different parts of the garden with more pictures. This covers the winter walk to the east of the Streamside walk.
Many gardens can look dead and uninspiring in the winter months when there are no flowering plants and deciduous trees and shrubs have shed their leaves.
The winter walk has been planted with a range of different coniferous and evergreen trees and shrubs designed to add colour and texture during what can be a dull time of year. It also successfully highlights how these can be used to provide interest all through the year, especially as some of the shrubs also have quite showy flowers too.
