Reading Abbey reopened last year after years of restoration. Set in the pretty Forbury Gardens and alongside the historic Reading Gaol, this is a perfect place for lunch and to appreciate the history of the Abbey. Additional information on the history is a stones throw in Reading Museum. I’d not been there for years but spent a lovely afternoon there today with the family.
