Reasons for trip

Personal / family celebration

We celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday with a trip to Edinburgh. We travelled by train from The Midlands, which took just over 4 hours. Waverley station is only 0.5 km from the hotel which was a 10 minute walk. Radisson Blu is very centrally situated on High Street, which is central for the tourist attractions, including the castle.

When we arrived, our room was not ready. This was not a problem as we sat in the bar with a complimentary drink whilst our cases were taken to the room.

The room was big with air conditioning, plus a large window which opened. The blackout curtains and the comfortable bed ensured we slept very well.

Breakfast was good, mainly buffet with lots of choice. We did not eat other meals in the hotel as there were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby which were a more economical option.

The staff were all very friendly, which made our 2 nights at the hotel a very enjoyable experience. I would stay there again without hesitation.
