Reasons for trip

My friend is a vegetarian, and noticed that a new vegan restaurant had opened in Exeter. I was willing to give it a try, but being a meat eater, wondered if there would be anything I would like!

The restaurant is located in a very quiet street, off the beaten track in Exeter. It had only been opened for a few weeks, but as we went inside, noticed it was already well supported. The seating was simple wooden furniture, and on the walls were hand painted pictures. The feature was an old well which was located to one side of the room.

The menu had about twelve choices, ranging from vegan burgers, pies, soup, tofu.
I opted for an olive, tomato and lentil pie, with a salad, which I could choose a dressing. My friend had a vegan burger which had hummus, salad, in a roll with an accompanying salad. My meal was surprisingly tasty and a really generous portion. You didn’t get the impression of a mass production line like other restaurants I’ve been to in the past. It is run by a young man, whose mum made up the recipes.
The prices were remarkably competitive, and very good value for money. My meal cost just £6,99, and my friends meal was £7.99.

We will certainly support this little restaurant again. They deserve to do well.
