Charter flight from Manchester meant that we were looked after from start to finish by Cunard. The downside was that the airport they used in Istanbul was quite a distance from the ship which added approx. 3 and half hours to the journey! However, once on board this was almost forgotten, as the service, meals and accommodation was above anything I had hoped for. Entertainment was good, although I would have liked to have heard more guest speakers. The return journey took less time, as the traffic was less busy, however, the wait at the airport for the home flight was far too long, as we had had to disembark early. I know this was to help ship staff prepare for the next visitors but Cunard could surely have asked to to vacate cabins but allowed us to stay on board an hour or so longer. But overall it was a really enjoyable holiday.
