We visited the Botanic Park as part of an all day cruise excursion. It is a beautiful place, with interesting plants, tree frogs & of course the iguanas. Whilst we had the benefit of a guide & the advantage of some background to the park as we went along, we really went through at a brisk pace & didn't really get to properly appreciate the place. So whilst we saw the Iguanas, its only now reading up more on the park that I realise what great work they do with their captive breeding programme. Also the guide kept telling us that at other times of the year the park is ablaze with colour, so perhaps another time of year is a better time to visit. So whilst we enjoyed our visit, we probably could have got much more out of it if we could have done the tour at a more leisurely pace. Its probably a place you need to do with a guide because we saw very little in the way of displays to explain what we were looking at plus any background information.
The Botanic Park is located in the district of North Side on Frank Sound Road.
