Reasons for trip

We chose the “Prezzo”:https://www.prezzorestaurants.co.uk/restaurant/london—euston/ on London’s Euston Road for lunch as it was a couple of minutes’ walk from Euston Tower where my friend was working for the day and, directly opposite Euston station which was ideal for me.

At bang on noon, we were the first in and as expected, got served very quickly. When we lunch at Prezzo there’s no messing about with the “menu”:http://www.prezzorestaurants.co.uk/menu-bands1/uk3/?id=3234 on my part – I always have a Vesuvio Classic Pizza as it’s the spiciest and has lots of pepperoni and, although my friend joins me in a pizza, he can sometimes prevaricate for a couple of minutes. This time he went for classic margarita with prawns and roquito chilli pearls – less hot than regular chilli and beautiful bead shaped red and yellow beads of chilli (I only wish they sold them in a jar as they’d be great for adding colour and flavour to a whole range of dishes and salads). The food arrived quickly and both pizzas were excellent with thin golden crusts and plenty of topping which reaches the edge.

Pudding is always shared and we love their honeycomb smash cheesecake which was absolutely gorgeous. At the end, we both said we could have eaten a whole one, but I think if we had, we might have regretted it.

We had a medium priced bottle of Pinot Grigio for £19.99 which went well.
The restaurant quickly busied up with office workers and travellers alike but there was plenty of staff on and they were well able to cope with the sudden influx of hungry diners.

Reluctantly my friend left to go back to work and I headed home on the tube feeling replete, happy and ready for a siesta.

My advice on visiting Prezzo is always check the website beforehand for “offers”:http://www.prezzorestaurants.co.uk/offers/ at the branch you’re visiting – sadly the voucher for 25% of the food bill expired the day before our visit.
