Previously we have stayed at the Hilton when travelling from Stansted airport but were really pleased to see that a Premier Inn had now been built.(The Hilton may have a swimming pool but bar prices were silly!) We paid £30 for a night’s stay at this new Premier Inn(excluding breakfast as we prefer to eat at the airport once fully awake!!) However breakfast was reasonable at around £5 for Continental (eat all you want) or £9 for a cooked breakfast if I remember correctly!

Wifi is free for 30 minutes daily or you can pay for more.

The décor in the bar and restaurant was really nice and everywhere was spotlessly clean plus our room was spacious & comfortable.

We ate in the restaurant on the evening prior to our morning flight to Parma,Italy and the food was good value for money. The service was good too –the waitress was friendly, attentive and happy to oblige our request for a nice quiet table (especially when we told her we were celebrating our wedding anniversary!). We have never been disappointed with Premier Inns-and this one was no exception. They are a perfect “no frills” accommodation-and you know what to expect!

We travelled to Stansted via National Express coaches (excellent service & price) but there was the option to pay extra for car parking on site at the Premier Inn which was very reasonable. (you get an all in price for a hotel stay & parking depending on the duration of your holiday)

There was a charge for the shuttle bus to get to the airport which I think was approx £3 each way and obviously we had to make that journey twice -on arrival & then on departure the following morning.

Would definitely book this hotel again and would consider driving and parking the car there too depending on flight times.
