We chose this Premier Inn for a one night stay in London because it is conveniently next door to King’s Cross Station. We had to catch the first train back to Leeds early in the morning. We checked in on-line. A very helpful and friendly member of staff greeted us on our arrival. However the hotel was at the bottom end of our expectations for a Premier Inn. The reception area was dark and cold. Our room was rather small compared with others in the same hotel group and the lighting in both the room and bathroom was poor. As the hotel is right next door to King’s Cross Station, diesel engine noise from the engine shed does penetrate the double glazing. Thankfully, there was no such noise overnight, so we did enjoy the “guaranteed great night’s sleep”. However, next time we will book at the Euston Premier Inn or, if we are attending a function in the City, the one in Old Street.
