This is an excellent location just off the motorway on the edge of an industrial site with a Brewer’s Fayre attached.
We were booked in for one night, on the way to catch the ferry to the Isle of Man next morning. Cheque in was satisfactory and you need your key card to access the rest of the building.
It was the usual room with large comfortable bed, wide screen TV, kettle etc hair drier and a floor standing fan – a definite bonus in summer! There was a small hanging area but no drawer space . In a double room, there was only one armchair.
The fire notice on the back of the door gave brief instructions but no map showing the fire routes.
The bathroom had an over the bath shower which i would rate OK/good. Bath towels as always were large and dried well.
There was quite bit of traffic noise when the windows were open but the room did get stuffy and oppressive if they were shut. The black out curtains were very effective.
It was rather a depressing room with beige walls and carpet with purple streaks. This carpet was also in the corridors and was the sort that looked well used and also held bits making it look not as clean as it could be. (Corners also looked as if they could do with a good clean… )
I felt this wasn’t up to the usual high standard of Premier Inn but it is difficult to say why exactly. It just felt a bit ‘sad’.
