Stayed at this Premier Inn to be in a convenient place for visiting sights in Leicester & close to the M1 for my onward journey to Newcastle. I was very impressed to get a call at home prior to my stay asking if I had any special requests, needed a table booking for dinner or could she help with any local knowledge. No real surprises here on arrival. Warm & friendly greeting, clean & comfortable room & a good nights sleep in a very comfy bed. In this price bracket it was an excellent value room & the comfort of knowing that (most of the time) you know exactly what you are going to get at a Premier Inn. Talked to the Manager on checkout & she was lovely, giving the impression she really cared about her customers & was listening to the feedback, however small. Note: There is no lift here, so guests with mobility issues need to request a ground floor room. I have 2 little niggles that I think Premier Inn need to look at. Free WiFi is pretty much a base item in most hotels, so the 30 mins free than having to pay needs to be scrapped. Especially as the WiFi is free in the pub where they serve the breakfast. I also think the breakfast is too expensive. I appreciate that £8.25 is great value if you are going to gorge yourself on the all you can eat, but most people just want a sensible sized cooked breakfast at a reasonable price. £6 would have been an appropriate price. Overall though an excellent stay & I recommend staying here if you are in the area.
