We stayed at this hotel yesterday as we were going to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the arena which is directly opposite the hotel, so it was the obvious choice for us. We are big fans of Premier Inns and have stayed in quite a few around the country. They offer great value for money, service is good, the rooms are clean, large and comfortable and contain all that you need for your stay. In fact whenever we are going away we always look to see if there is a Premier Inn to stay in. We were not disappointed as far as the room was concerned, it was up to the usual high standard. However we did have a reason to complain. The show was due to start at 8 pm so we thought we would have plenty of time to eat in the restaurant beforehand. The restaurant opened at 6 pm and we were down by 6.15 only to be told that they were booked up. Admittedly we didn't book, but we have always just walked into the Premier Inn restaurants without any bother. The staff were helpful and said we could sit in the bar area to eat. They did say that there was a bit of a delay getting the food out, that was an understatement to say the least. I went to order our food from the bar only to be told they had no steaks or salmon. This was after they had been open for only 20 minutes on a Friday night! Having finally ordered our food we sat down to wait and wait, along with a number of other people who were also going to the show. It eventually arrived at about 7.15, by which time we just had to gobble it down as fast as we could. I don't know what was going on, we have never had any complaints about any aspect of our stays at Premier Inn, but this really did put a downer on our stay in Leeds. I would still recommend this hotel, but if you are going to an event at the arena make sure that you either book a table or eat somewhere else.
