The staff here are so friendly & helpful that its the thing that makes this hotel stand out from so many others. Premier Inn seem to be making a real effort on the quality of staff they have on the front desk & they have it spot on here. Really friendly greeting & during a chat about what we were doing in the area, offered us Chester Zoo tickets at £12.95 instead of £16:30 at the gate & of course no queuing at the Zoo. Helped us with taxis into town & other advice about the area. Karen deserves a special mention. Decor & facilities wise it was very much Premier Inns new standard, some of the rooms are being upgraded during the day. Very clean & comfortable & all you need for a city break. Very conveniently placed for access to major roads, park & ride & less than a fiver by taxi into Chester. Free parking. There is a Sainsburys a couple of minutes down the road which is handy. Although there is a lot nearby its a very quiet area. Breakfast is served at the Twirl of Hay a Brewers Fayre next door. Staff are nice there & they do some great deals in the Evenings. We enjoyed their curry night, all you can eat buffet for £5.99. We stayed 3 nights for an average of £21 per night (excl breakfast) & that included a free drink each in the Twirl of Hay with dinner. Absolute bargain, did I mention the lovely staff, highly recommend this hotel. My only tiny niggle is that free Wi-Fi is not available in the hotel (you only get 30 mins per day), but is available in the pub next door.
