We stayed in this pousada in Estremoz for one night when driving from the Algarve to Santander, on our way home. What a find…..! A genuine old castle that oozed elegance. Our room even had a turret! The castle is set on a hilltop, so you get lovely views of the town and surrounding countryside. We had dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, and thought it was delicious. If you get the chance to stay there, even if it is only for one night, I would certainly recommend it.
