I will try to keep this brief as there were so many things wrong with this place it is hard to know which parts to mention. The Receptionist on arrival was uninterested and sarcastic. Her attitude only improved later when her supervisor was standing next to her.

The site itself is untidy with litter and cigarette ends all around. The grass is overgrown, there are pot holes all over the car park, and the accommodation concrete single storey blocks (which they laughingly call ‘apartments’) are reminiscent of 1950’s camps, which is probably the last time they were decorated or refurnished. There is no mattress cover or topper. The mattresses are very old, lumpy, creaky and stained. The bedding (you have to make up the bed yourself) is the thinnest material I have ever seen and as it is a flat, not fitted, sheet you cannot move during the night without finding that you are laying on the bare mattress which, believe me, is not something anyone would choose to do! The pillows were at most one inch thick. In all, I think we probably got about 2 hours sleep during the 2 nights we were there.

The cooked food in the self service cafeteria is mostly inedible. The baked new potatoes I am convinced had been cooked several day before and heated each day since. The skins had thickened and, what little potato was inside was brown. The tinned processed peas (I kid you not) were greyish brown. If you have the misfortune to visit this place, stick to the salad bar. For breakfast, they thought it was a good idea to serve garlic mushrooms along with the bacon and sausage.

I cannot imagine why anyone would revisit this place having been once so please heed my warnings and stay away. In my ratings, I have only scored ones because there is no facility to give minus scores!
