Reasons for trip

This was our second visit to Polmanter, camping. The site is immaculate and the toilet/shower blocks are fabulous with individual facilities for those less able. There are also family shower facilities.

There is a great little shop on site and laundry facilities. The Club house overlooks the outside pool which is gorgeous. The spa facilities were not available due to Covid.
The food in the clubhouse is very tasty and price wise is pretty good value for money. Three nights a week there was entertainment in the form of quiz night, bingo and live music all very well attended.

The view from the campsite over St Ives Bay is fabulous. The site is a couple of miles away from St Ives but there is an excellent bus service into St Ives, reasonably priced, so you don’t have to worry about finding parking. Also, from St Ives, you can get buses and explore the area so no need to drive.

One word of caution, you have to book early as this place is so good.

The site is also dog friendly and while we were there, all dogs were very well-behaved – they have their own doggy walking field and doggy showers!!
