Would thoroughly recommend a cruise on Oceana – the atrium is really beautiful and there are lots of little bars to enjoy a quiet drink. The entertainment is of quite a good standard and quite varied. Sailing into and out of Venice was the highlight – such a lovely experience. Love getting lost in the alleyways of Venice, and of course a ride on a Vaparetto along the Grand Canal.
The other stops on this cruise were Croatia – which were relaxing and interesting to walk around. The ship sails to and from Malta – which again is another lovely port – full of interesting churches and buildings, etc.
Research is required to make the most of each port – and is really worth doing to make the most out of any port.
The food was good – perhaps not outstanding – but quite varied. The staff are great and work so hard to ensure all the passengers have a great time.
The Oceana is my favourite ship in the P&O fleet – but the itinerary is probably more important.
