A simple colourful hotel set right in the heart of playa del carmen. The hotel is basic with just a central courtyard contains a pool but you don’t need much more when the accommodation is so reasonably priced and you are near everything. Breakfast can be found in any of the nearby restaurants and the beach is just a stones throw away. Downside can be the noisy night club on the corner of the street so ask for a room away from there. Playa del Carmen is very commercialised so not much left of authentic Mexico but you can visit ruins at Tulum and numerous cenotes which are the cave pools nearby.
