I went here recently with a friend for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We did not have a reservation but were able to get a seat despite the place being quite busy. There was a hard lemonade special on the drinks board and we both opted to have it minus the alcohol. It was nice and tart and ended up being a good foil to the desserts we chose; however, first the main course. My friend had the sandwich special which was a Monte Cristo made with seared tofu on French bread and a garden salad. I elected to have the Village Vibe Burger (house-made bean patty topped with onion jam, sour cream, hummus, sprouts, and sliced tomatoes) served on a green salad instead of a bun and with a side Caesar salad which was gluten free and full of garlic. We both ate every bite as it was all very tasty. The patty had a nice crunch to it in contrast to the toppings. The servings are not large but they were just right for us. My friend did comment that her son would think it was a snack.
For dessert my friend chose the chocolate cake and I chose the chocolate cheesecake. The cake was more sweet and the cheesecake more rich, as described by our delightful waitress. Both were served with a raspberry coulis. Again, we ate every bite. It was delicious.
