Pinetum Gardens near St.Austell in Cornwall UK offer an excellent day out for garden enthusiasts and families alike, although sensible footwear is the order of the day, there are 3 mobility scooters for hire also a few wheelchairs (although these would not be suitable for most of the garden), they have a restaurant offering a good variety & quality of foods, & for those not driving, alcoholic drinks as well.
The Japanese garden is likely to be the first one you come to, whilst the lake, with a variety of ducks, is down over a grassed slope. The Winter garden is next with majestic Monarch of the Glen statue in its centre offer a unique variety of shrubs, trees & bushes. Next is the wonderfully tranquil Arboretum, again a varied selection of trees, then other smaller gardens offer more sights & scents. Finishing with a pot of tea before heading home, excellent day out.
