This is the nearest viewpoint to Funchal and the easiest to get to, as it is on the Red HOHO bus route.
At a height of 335m, there are 360˚views over Funchal and the surrounding area. Views are good but lack the impact of say Cabo Girao. It can also be quite hazy.
There is a large viewing area which is a short walk from the parking area. There is a cafe and large gift shop.
