I booked on teletext holiday website and didn’t expect much, but wow! This hotel and its sister hotel next-door Miramar, is welcoming, polite porters and reception staff, bartenders and maids. The gardens are so beautiful and large you don’t need to visit the public ones..these are better. Peaceful too with butterflies flitting and lots of private places to sit and pool bars and swimming pools being of a warm temperature. The breakfast was very good, buffet style. We were only bed n breakfast but went to the restaurant one night, lovely food at a good price and we had two takeaway pizzas from next door to the hotel. We booked a trip at the hotel and had a wonderful meal out and saw beautiful scenery too. Our room was spacious with kitchenette and balcony. The bathroom was adequate, but I struggled to get out of the bath. My husband showered and the water didn’t drain well in the separate shower area. But that was our only gripe. Regular entertainment and snacks in the winter gardens meant you could stay in at night if too tired to walk into town. The Christmas lights were beautiful and the streets safe at night. Will be returning. Hopefully.
