Stayed here with my partner this July 2012 for 10 days.Very nice hotel and good value for money in a nice position with a large choice of restaurants close by, so certainly recommended.

The hotel is about three years old and nice room but a little hot unless you used the air conditoning regularly. Fridge in the room but disappointingly no tea or coffee making facilities- I consider this a failing.Three good pools but unsupervised, so care if you are with the children!

Interestingly, the hotel only has two lifts so you can expect to wait in the high season especially. Also no hotel courtesy bus into Funchal.

breakfast is a self service buffet style and good selection- we did not eat dinner at the hotel as we felt it was a little pricey and there is plenty of choice locally or in Funchal.

Overall, a good, modern hotel reasonably priced.

A superior sea view room is recommended but try and avoid a room at the top.
