Our studio apartment was perfect for us, spacious with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. I suggest you ask for a room overlooking the pool facing the road. Our balcony gave us a perfect view to the harbour and we could watch the cruise ships coming and going. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

The bus stop is a few yards from the hotel, so perfect for those who don't like to walk far but still want to get about. Reid's is about 100 yards up the hill, so not far.

Try eating at the supermarket Pingos in Funchal. The food is good and is charged by weight, so those with small appetites, like me, don't pay as much as those with large appetites.

An excellent holiday, we would go again.
