Reasons for trip

Live in Swansea and had to go to Newport to collect tiles we had purchased for kitchen. Decided to return to Swansea via the old coastal route. Sawsign post for Penarth Marina. Drove along the road looking at various wonderful boats etc. Few places,to stop for food but nothing that took our fancy. Magnificent views of Cardiff bay and,added bonus of a sunny day. Continued along,one street where we came upon Penarth beach and magnificent Pier!!!.Parked the car and decided to take a stroll along to the pier. Very clean and friendly little food outlets selling chips, pancakes, candy floss, lovely assortment on offer. Old ballroom turned into a classy restaurant which was very busy!! Stopped,for cheese toastie, bacon roll and two coffees!!! Delicious!!! Well worth a visit!!!
