This past weekend, my sister and I had lunch at this new eatery in Stratford, Ontario. It is situated on the Market Square which is currently under construction, being made into a pedestrian thoroughfare in the centre of town. This coffee shop puts strong focus on making great espresso and great food. The restaurant is long and narrow, taken down to the brick walls, but updated with modern furniture and light fixtures.
The food we had was fresh and delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. Their specialties seem to be savory and sweet crepes as the menu tells you to “Crepe It Up.” They also serve waffles, breakfasts, sandwiches, soups and salads. On this occasion, my sister had the spinach and feta pie with a spinach salad ($8.95). I had the Florenzia crepe filled with chocolate hazelnuts and strawberries for $7.95. I also had a delectable Mochaccino ($3.95). I know I’ll be back to try a savory crepe as it all looks very good. I will also keep my eye out for their Toronto location in my travels.
There is a very reasonable parking lot around the corner from the market place. Saturdays there are three hours of free parking.
