Most of our group have been to “Patisserie Valerie Liverpool”:https://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/restaurant/159290-review-patisserie-valerie-liverpool, but this was our first visit to “Patisserie Valerie Edinburgh”:http://www.patisserie-valerie.co.uk/northbridge-cafe.aspx. It was late in the afternoon and we were not sure if it would still be open. Imagine our delight to find out it was, and not only that, it is open until 10:00 at night! Admittedly our waitress said it was only open that late since May 1. Maybe it is just for the summer season because it is just off the Royal Mile on North Bridge.
We had a rather substantial lunch at No. 1 earlier in the afternoon but managed to put away coffees (well, okay, lattes and cappuccinos) and cakes. Our drinks were under £3 each and the cakes range from £2-£4. The baking is always so tempting as they look wonderful. We were not disappointed. Valerie Patisserie lived up to our expectations and set us up for our train trip home.
Note: other locations in Edinburgh (there are three in total) are not open this late so check the website if you’re planning a visit.
