Returned to Parga three years ago after an absence of thirty years, thought we would give it a try after many different Greek holidays.
Looked up hotel reviews and decided on Sol Parga Hotel. What a choice! Small twelve bedroom hotel with own beach facilities on town beach and just that small distance (200 metres) from busy, busy town centre. Possibly the best hotel we have ever visited and not just in Greece.
Not a lot of changes to Parga since the seventies and still lots to see and do.Boat trips up the legendary Acheron River, miniature train trips to waterfalls and castle(start outside hotel), superb beaches reached by boat or car(highly recommend car hire) – Sarakiniko,Karlovastasi just to name a couple.
Parga in season VERY busy but not rowdy – hate to say it but Brit’s well outnumbrered by Greeks, Italians etc.
Great restaurants and traditional tavernas and when I say we returned three years ago, we have been back every year since and already booked for 2018.
