Whilst staying at the Canopy Tower (a marvellous experience in itself), we visited the nearby Miraflores Locks on the Panama Canal and its fantastic museum, including short but very interesting video show. The museum is very nicely laid out, doesn’t take too to get round the whole thing (in English too!) then we were lucky enough to finish out watching a huge container ship pass through the lock, just to experience in person what we had been learning about. If you are in this part of Panama, take time to visit the locks – fascinating and well worth a few hours.
