My husband and I have just returned from a short break in Majorca. Previous visits to the island have been to the many beach resorts for a family holiday. This time we decided on a city break in Palma. It was only a short taxi ride to our hotel, Posada Terra Santa situated in the narrow streets of the old town. It took us a day or two of getting lost in these streets to find our feet but found ourselves in easy walking distance of all the sights, shops, bars and restaurants. The cathedral is in a lovely location overlooking the harbour and is the centre piece to the town. We enquired about how to visit Soller on the old train which takes an hour from Palma to Soller travelling through lovely countryside. A wonderful break in an interesting and vibrant city.
