We thoroughly enjoyed our first cruise to the Caribbean on the P&O Britannia earlier this year I must admit we now have the cruising bug, already having booked for a Mediterranean cruise for next year, there was such a lot of activity on board the cruise ship, the delicious food was to die for with so many on board restaurants to try. In the theatre they had a different show on every night with light colourful musical entertainment. If you wanted to watch a movie you could go into the cinema. Or for a restful night in the Irish bar with a gin and tonic and pint of Guinness.
We had an inside cabin which was spacious and met every one of our needs, with a friendly steward who gave advice on anything we wanted to know.
I took my iPad, which enabled me to take photographs and use the Internet when I wanted on board ship, especially in the lido lounge, where I could sit and sunbathe, and if I wanted something to eat and drink I could ask the waiter who was in attendance for a cocktail or a long cool drink. If I wanted something to eat I had a wide choice of either chicken and chips or pizza or even a delicious ice cream.
I treated myself on a number of occasions to the beauty salon for a to die for massage, also a restyle in the hairdressers who gave me a really good cut and blow dry. I also had a manicure which I found to be quite relaxing.
As a mature lady I did not use the gym, but a lot of younger people I did see jogging. If I had wanted I could have learnt a new talent with ballroom lessons, or I could have joined the choir for choir practise. There was such a lot to do on board I could go on for ever.
