Tried a new place (for us) in Kensington Market this morning for breakfast and it was great. It opens at 8:00 am and is only open until 3:00 but serves breakfast for the duration. It is a small place so at busy times you may have to wait for a table. We were there at around 9:30 on a Wednesday and had no trouble getting a table.
The food was fresh and very tasty and the service was very friendly. I had the vegetable omelet with feta cheese added and served with Lima beans (though they are big enough and yellow enough to me to be butter beans). The beans in particular were delicious. My aunt had two fried eggs with home fries (cut fresh from Yukon Gold potatoes as the chef was cooking) and pea meal bacon (like back bacon). Both meals also came with salad and toast. Neither of us could finish what was on our plates even though we wanted to!
They did not have decaf coffee so I opted for a cafe/mocha and my aunt got her full caffeine fix a few times over with refills. We will definitely be back when in the neighbourhood.
Parking directly in the Kensington Market area can be challenging so it is best to park on a nearby street and walk into the market area. We were staying at a hotel a couple of blocks away so walked over.
