Just back from 7 nights. We are aged in our 40s, 50s and 70s. All 4 of us had a fabulous time and would go back for sure. The hotel is nicely presented inside and out.
CHECK IN – We received a very informative welcome. We paid the deposit in cash – £90 per room – and the exact same notes were handed back at the end – no issues. We paid the local tax via credit card, I think 40-50 Euros per room. Reception were very helpful each time we needed them.
SHUTTLE BUS – Very convenient – we used it 3 times to visit town. No issues.
RESTAURANT – The same style of food every night, but different dishes so plenty of variety. Labelling could be better – I accidentally ate meat as it appeared in a dish labelled “Legumes”. (I have been vegetarian >20 years and inspected the dishes more carefully the following nights and didn’t rely on the labelling). If you had a food allergy you would need to make special arrangements. The local wine served is pleasant enough. OUSSAMA worked extremely hard keeping our glasses topped up and plates cleared and barely caught his breath.
LOBBY BAR – Great service – AZDINE had a smile to light up a room and was extremely attentive and great at remembering our drinks orders. The entertainment was good and varied. The music was quite loud in certain places but the outside seating was a great alternative and the bar service there was just as good.
SNACK BAR – Good choice of food for lunch and served quickly if you avoided the 1pm rush. Vegetarians are well catered for. The bar staff and waiters were all extremely friendly. Restricting eating to the seating area meant that pool side was clean and clear of food and plates etc. The cocktails are ok for all inclusive but of course not equivalent to £5-£10 cocktails back home.
ENTERTAINMENT – Archery was undertaken twice a day by 2 of our group who really enjoyed it. The guys running this did a great job. The aqua aerobics instructor was lacking in enthusiam as were the guests so – chicken and egg situation maybe?
KSAR RESTAURANT – A table service restaurant that you can eat in once during your stay. MOURAD was a great attentive waiter and helped sort a vegetarian alternative option to the 2 meat based set menus. The traditional musician was a nice accompaniment.
ROOMS – Nicely decorated and could not fault the housekeeping service. Maintenance responded almost immediately to a request and fixed an issue.
STOMACH ISSUES – These were experienced by 3 of the group, as expected when travelling to Morocco and other such countries. This cleared after a couple of days when our bodies had adjusted, with the aid of some “Immodium”.
