I was on a on-line booking site panicking because I hadn't booked all our accommodation for a very imminent trip to Washington. The Omni Shoreham leapt out of the page as it had rave reviews and was at a promotional price. Arriving at the hotel we were not disappointed, the hotel hosts the inaugural balls for the President of the United States and the public rooms were fabulous, gleaming chandeliers, exotic fresh flower displays and antique style furniture. Our room likewise exceeded our expectations with two double beds and was plenty big enough for our family of four adults. it was quiet, comfortable and extremely luxurious. With an outdoor pool and gym, and adjacent parkland you were happily entertained and the subway was minutes away so accessing Washington was a breeze. We were ideally placed to visit the Washington Zoo which was in walking distance, and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance for our evening meals.
