During lockdown keeping our garden looking nice seemed to be more important. One of our favourite places to shop for plants is the independently-run Oakgate Nursery& Garden Centre. It is at Ellerdine Heath near Telford Shrophire on Hazles Road between the A442 and the A53 (post code TF6 6RL)
In normal times the garden tea room is open serving breakfasts, light lunches and main meals. We have enjoyed tea and delicious cakes in the past.
As well as a well-stocked garden centre and gift shop there is a delightful garden to stroll around with a pond and Monet-style bridge. On our visit this time, parts were roped off to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Once travel restrictions are lifted, we will look forward to visiting Oakgate again.
