Sadly we only stayed one night at this lovely boutique hotel over looking the sea in Oban. My husband, my son and his lovely wife arrived here by car mis afternoon in glorious sunshine. This is an amazing spot near the end of the road.
We were greeted by a lovely young lady who offered us a welcome glass of water and we sat outside on their really lovely patio furniture while she gave us a glimpse into what we could expect. We walked the short distance to the harbour where fishing boats were moored and the Isle of Mull ferry berthed.A very popular establishment was serving very fresh seafood straight from the boats to the quay, and very reasonably priced.
We couldn’t leave without sampling the food.!
After freshening up we headed out for dinner to yes! A fish Restaurant on the said Quay.
We were not disappointed the food was amazing and the service first class and so friendly. Highly recommend.
The hotel which is a sister hotel to number 17 advised us they didn’t do evening meals but offered the names of Restaurants in walking distance. We were able to book well in advance and were not disappointed. Our room was at the front of the hotel with wonderful views and despite having the windows open was very quiet and we both slept well.
I have to say the design of the bathroom wasn’t to my taste, but you can’t please everyone. Breakfast was truly delicious! I had porridge with whiskey and honey!
Followed by Eggs Benedict which was perfect plus plenty hot coffee. The breakfast room was delightful and the service perfect. Just like sitting at home in a luxury kitchen!
When we returned home after our dinner we sat outside (beautiful warm evening) and drank and chatted to other guests round one of the two gas fire pits until past 10.30pm!
Memorable stay. Most highly recommended.
