We went here for the first time in July 2014, and enjoyed a good day out. The parklands and gardens were the favourites for me as it was such a lovely day. I spotted six different species of butterfly in the grounds, and loads of dragonflies.
Make sure you walk down to the lake as the views are quite stunning.
The house is excellent too, but on a sunny day I was happier outside.
There was a band playing in the courtyard while we had lunch, and overall this NT property has a lot going for it.
