Reasons for trip

Special occasion

Just returned from Norweigan Escape leaving from Southampton for a ten night Transatlantic finishing in Miami. This was a Maiden voyage for this new ship and I travelled with my Husband in an Inside Stateroom.

Stateroom review was very favourable, decent size for an inside, our bed was made up as a Double and was huge and very comfortable, there was room either side to move. We had a flat screen TV and large wardrobe with plenty of space. The Shower was a nice size and shape compared to previous ships sailed, toiletries also better, a large container of hair shampoo and another of body wash which was refilled when needed. There was also soap again a decent size and a container of hand wash by the sink.

Many places to eat on the ship including 3 complimentary dining rooms, Japanese, French, Italian, Pub, etc plus the main Garden Cafe which was buffet style. On this trip we mainly had buffet as I have health issues and need to see what I am eating, although we did use the Pub and also had a meal at The Supper Club.

Garden Cafe has a lovel setting and is huge with plenty of comfy seating, general buffet food, with plenty of choice, we always managed to find something tasty to eat.

The Pub had what I would call a limited menu, but tasty food this is also complimentary and open 24 hours.

The Supper Club has different entertainment and a meal included for a set price, the
entertainment we saw was I would say adult only not our cup of tea unfortunately but the meal was lovely, only downside was we were eating in the dark whilst the show was going on.

Entertainment throughout the ship was excellent, from 2 Broadway shows, comedy, Juggling, Music, Cinema, Circus etc, we were very impressed with all that we saw.

Outside had everything from swimming pools, whirlpools Water Slides, sports, children’s own Water Park which looked fantastic.

I would love to sail this ship again but would do a trip from it’s home port of Miami as we prefer visiting different ports as opposed to just going from A to B.
