Reasons for trip

Flew Norwegian twice. Different destinations, on different types aircraft. Requested wheelchair for long paths to departure gates. (I can climb stairs, just unable to walk great distances.) Wheelchairs were provided, just had long waits for them to arrive. Staff were appearing to be terribly busy but perhaps it’s because they were just hired or “contracted” for only a couple of journeys. There is no cohesiveness among the desk staff or the in-flight attendants. Aircraft are fairly new so everything worked on both types the 737 Max (tight seating- 3 across both sides of center aisle) and the 787 (which was 2 aisles and the seating varied by how much you paid.) Weather cooperated so both flights were smooth and on time. Paid for meals since the flights were transatlantic and I must have food in my stomach to take required medicines at certain times. Meals were basic food, not gourmet, just something to eat. Because of the new aircraft and on-time arrivals my rating is 4 out of five stars. Seating is tight even though I also paid to have a reserved seat. Travelled with family members as a party of four. The college student grandchildren had no issue with cramped quarters as my middle-aged son and I had. Again, it’s an “OK” airline with add-ons you need to make the journey. ** Be aware that if you don’t pay for the meal package ahead of departure – not even a glass of water is provided. This is perhaps the most important caveat for senior/silver passengers. Dehydration is a danger. One has to beg for every glass even with the meal package. Best not be too frugal, here.
