Reasons for trip

We were fortunate to have a trip which was a birthday present on the North Yorkshire Railway, we had hoped for a steam train but it turned out to be a diesel at that time. Also my husband stepped out onto a platform and slipped between the step and the platform edge and got his leg wedged – very embarrassing and destroyed his trousers from the black mouldy moss. Need some signs to say ‘Mind the gap’. However most of the journey was quite enjoyable.
