I visited Niagara falls using the tour company ‘TruExperiences Tours Inc’, and was not disappointed. The tour was booked easily online from the UK in advance of my holiday. It was a door to door service. We were a small party of nine tourists who travelled in comfort with an excellent driver and knowledgeable tour guide. I believe the transport could accommodate one wheelchair , though all in our party walked unaided. We travelled from Toronto City to Niagara. When we arrived at Niagara there was no queueing. We went straight on to the ‘Hornblower boat’, putting on our pink ponchos and prepared ourselves for an exhilarating ride. Visiting Niagara Falls is as marvellous as you can imagine because the boat goes very close so you get quite drenched in mist! It’s like a fabulous fairground ride, awesome but safe. Most people were clicking away with cameras, Ipads and mobiles. Unfortunately some of my photos were a little distorted by water on the lens, but the visual experience was unforgettable. I did ask what happened to all the ponchos deposited after the trip as there must have been thousands used every day and was told they are recycled. Good, but I didn’t want to part with mine and bought it home!
A tasty buffet lunch followed (an added option of the tour) in the Sheraton Hotel where one could eat, drink and gaze out over the falls watching the boats to-ing and fro-ing full of pink or blue clad tourists, depending on which boat they travelled on. We had plenty of time to take photographs in the Niagara falls area. We then visited Niagara on the Lake which was a completely different area, quaint but busy with tourists. However I would have liked a little longer here.
The tour lasted all day. Apart from some delay due to traffic volume on the return journey, it was hassle free and although not inexpensive was worth every Canadian dollar!
