It doesn’t look that inviting from the outside, a few tables and chairs under a canopy, a bit old-fashioned seaside air about it, but the set menu early evening sounded promising so we decided to give it a try. We were glad we did.
A great welcome from staff, and explanations about the menu items. Leslie decided on the set menu – fillet of sea bass in creamy sauce plus vegetables – and I went for the lamb Keleftico with rice off the main menu. We also had a bottle of a very good white wine as well as the free glass of wine with the set menu. Lovely food, well presented and delicious, both choices actually going well with the wine.
Lots of desserts to choose from so it had to be the lemon meringue roulade – exceptionally creamy – and a fruit cheesecake. Altogether an excellent meal, very satisfying and in very comfortable surroundings with a real Mediterranean feel (of course!). Great value at £16.95 for set menu and my two courses £20 from main menu, plus bottle of wine £14.95. Plenty of time left then to get back to hotel for a last drink at the bar – a perfect end to our holiday by the sea.
