A spacious Asian restaurant right in the middle of the town, an easy walk from bus or train station. It offers the best authentic Indian dishes I have found in Huddersfield itself, family-run since 1991.
The ‘Early Bird Menu’ served from 5-7 pm is especially good value at £9.95 per head. This comprises a starter and a main course (including rice or nan bread or 2 chappatis), followed by tea or coffee with a chocolate mint. There is a wide choice of starters and mains, ample in portion. All is freshly cooked to order, piping hot. Drinks and extras are also available from the a la carte menu. A large jug of iced water came free of charge, as did hot scented flannels at the end. Mints at the till, too.
I don’t like eating late, or too much, and this was an ideal meal for my husband and myself.
They also offer takeaway orders.
