Myriddin House is located within walking distance of the Pembrey /Burry Port Dock and shoreline. Also, you will find Pembrey Country Park with a lovely sandy beach just 1 mile from the property,
Pembrey Country Park also has several activities to offer including a Pony Riding stable for all levels of experience. Also, just at end of the road leading to the park is a Riding Stable for people with disabilities.

There is also a very large (for a terraced house) & lovely private garden with table and chairs for outdoor dining.
Every amenity is very close by in walking distance including Post Office, corner shop, 4 pubs, a Co-op grocery store and small shops and services in Burry Port including a green grocer, florist, hair salon, optometrist and severy take away restaurants.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner at The Ship Aground Pub which is a 5 minute walk from Myriddin. There is a beach front cafe and seafood mobile restaurant in the dock car park along with public toilets. Many several places to stop and enjoy a sun session among the secluded dunes.
For a more formal dining experience The Ashburnam Hotel is just a few minutes down the road toward Burry Port serving lunch, Sunday Roast dinner and high tea.
All in all, my children and I enjoyed a lovely holiday at Myriddin House.
It is also on the delivery route for Sainsbury's Grocery store. Only 13 miles from Camarthen and near the main bus route bus X11/12 for Swansea/Llanneli.
The owners were very kind to show us around and have placed in the home a file with local country walks, activities, maps and take away menus along with the usual household appliance manuals. They even offered to pick us up from the Burry Port Train station.
I would highly recommend this homey retreat. If you have children a car is a must as most of the public transport is not scheduled to allow for day visits to the local attractions including Folly Farm and Heatherton Sports Park near Tenby.
