Regular holiday

The holiday started in Zagreb, touring the area before spending a day in Slovenia visiting Ljubljana castle and lake Bled. The holiday organised by Titan consisted of 31 guests and an English leader on route to Trogir visiting the beautiful Plitvice national park with its scenic lakes. We then embarked on ms Pacific with its 8 crew. Cabins are on two decks some with portholes and others Windows. Food was cooked by a mature local lady with a varied menu served at table if we were lunch or dinner. Breakfast was self service but there was always a small cooked section. Bottled water was provided in our cabins and at meal times. There was always a large supply of fruit, for us to help our selves. There was always coffee and tea available, also a limited bar where no cash was required until the last day. TV present in the dining room / sitting room but nobody wanted to watch it. Sun bathing area was available on top deck and a pleasant area at the front and rear of the boat, some under a canopy. Opportunity was given for those who wanted to have a swim in the sea. We cruised for about 4-5 hours a day but berthed at night at a small harbour, sometimes having our evening meal on this beautiful island and a tour of this island next day. We visited Zadar, Sali, Koinali, Sibenik national park, we also visited the Stomorsk islands. Krka national park with its waterfalls was out of this world. At Zadar we saw and heard the sea organ (morse orgulje) a pipe organ that is played by the sea. We finished our week long cruise at Split meeting the tourists which we had not seen all week, Split being a centre for ferry terminals but yet has many interesting old buildings steeped in history. On two nights we had local musicians on board which we all enjoyed. We were able to keep up to date with our iPads as internet was available and a small library was available. The holiday was well organised with official guides available at most ports of call, at some places we had to go though other boats in port. The average age of guests in September was over 60 years of age but all very active and able to walk up and down gangways, luckily the tourists have not found these beautiful sunny islands yet.
