My wife and I spent 4 glorious nights at Mukul in early January 2015. It is quite simply superb. I have never stayed at a more luxurious, better serviced or better located resort anywhere in the world.
Our villa was located a few steps from the beach. The rooms are delightfully furnished with a large outside area, pool, decking etc. All of the staff at every level speak perfect English and are incredibly well trained, courteous and genuinely helpful. This has to be one of the top luxurious resorts in the world and I have no doubt the 37 villas will fill up very quickly.
There is an airport opening nearby in 6-7 months which should greatly enhance the transfer time (currently 2.5hrs). If your budget can stretch, take advantage of the hotel’s helicopter transfer service which is a triumph, well organised and gets you there in around half an hour with a magnificent sightseeing tour thrown in.
The beachfront villas are out of this world.
