I stayed two nights right in the centre of Edinburgh opposite Waverley Railway Station. Motel One is modern, slightly quirky, clean and very comfortable. The cost of the room was reasonable and, for just under £10 extra, one could have a self service continental breakfast with a very full selection of items to choose from, including boiled eggs. The coffee was the best I have tasted in any hotel. The staff were extremely well trained and helpful. The hotel is situated on several floors above the Apple shop, from the first floor upwards, but there is lift access to all floors. I will stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending this accomodation. The only drawback may be the lack of parking.
